Tonsil Trouble

Today we visited the ENT to discuss having Paige's tonsils removed.  Doctors have always made comments about how big they were, but since she does not get sick too often it was not a concern until recently.  The last time she was sick our doctor was very concerned with it becoming an issue of interfering with her breathing and after some discussion we decided to look into it further.  The ENT took one look today and said without a doubt they needed to come out. Officially she told me Paige had Pediatric Sleep Apnea.  She also called it "kissing tonsils".  To be honest I have always noticed she snores and she is more tired then I would expect her to be most days.  The doctor said we should see night and day results after surgery.  Not the way we were hoping to start our summer, but we are hoping for better days after she feels better!  I normally would not take a gross picture like the inside of a mouth, but I just wanted it documented on my blog how big they were before they were taken out.  Lol. Sorry!  And this picture is on a totally healthy day.  They get bigger if she is sick!  Yikes!  

End of baseball season

Saturday we had our first playoff game.  The boys fought hard, but after going over the time limit we ended up losing by 1.  Caden had a great game hitting a triple and assisting in some good plays.  He has really enjoyed this baseball season.  Next season we move up to kid pitch!  I am excited to see the boys get to pitch.  That evening Caden and I went to one of his friends at school birthday party.  He had a great time.  I know the little boy has had some struggles at school and he doesn't have many friends.  His aunt told me at the party she was so happy to see Caden there and it was great how nice he was to him.  Melted my heart for sure.  Caden is already working on him to get to go to VBS this summer.  

  The next few weeks with school wrapping up will be crazy!  We will be going out of town next weekend and then we will also be having Paige's dance recital.  And since we are not busy enough I decided to have Caden's birthday party really really early this year.  Since he has an August birthday we always have so many conflicts with school starting and people being gone and just being busy.  He really wanted to invite his school friends so we talked about it and we are going to have a skating party before school gets out.  I am praying kids show up.  Lol. Poor guy, he just wants a party with his friends!  Hopefully I can keep my sanity thru the next couple of weeks.  Summer here we come!

Pretty as a Bunny

Mother's Day is this Sunday and the kids are starting to bring home Mother's Day crafts from school.  I opened Paige's folder to find her kindergarten graduation pictures and a paper about me.  I can't believe this year is almost over.  Time is flying!  I always get a kick out of the things the kids write.  I got a giggle out of the fact she thinks I am as special as a dog.  Lol. I am also as smart as a teechr (teacher). I will take that as a compliment for sure.  I am looking forward to Mother's Day weekend with my family.
